The University of Washington has introduced Purple, a University-supported generative AI platform for faculty, staff and students.
Purple supports a range of use cases, including content creation, document summarization, data analysis, brainstorming, problem-solving and technical assistance.
Purple offers the UW community access to approved AI models through the University’s Microsoft Azure environment and includes controls intended to support privacy, security and compliance requirements.
